In the well-stocked 73 kg weight category (78 competitors), silver
won by Maksymilian Piktel, who fought seven fights on his way to the podium. This result guarantees a qualification for the Polish Cadet Championships. A very good performance was also recorded by Szymon Dziudzik competing in the 55 kg class, who ranked 7th in the Polish Cadet Championships. place. Szymon fought 6 bouts, 4 of which he won in very good style. Szymon won additional places for our region during the regional qualifiers for the OOM.
After winning the first fight in the repechage bouts, Juliusz Krystosiak - last year's bronze medallist at the Polish Youth Championships - had to acknowledge the superiority of his older opponents. This is Juliusz's first start in the older age group.
In the elimination round, Klaudia Szkudlarek, Miłosz Samstyko and Mateusz Zadworny finished the competition after strong duels. All the competitors showed great heart for the fight
, and they still have another chance to qualify for the finals of the All-Polish Youth Olympics - the Polish Cadet and Cadette Championships during the regional qualifiers at the end of April.
Tomorrow, some of the players are honing their form at a 1-day camp in Piaseczno.
