Judo for children and young people
Judo classes are aimed at pre-school, school-age children and young people who want to spend their time actively, developing physical fitness and learning judo techniques. The programme is adapted to the age of participants and includes general development exercises to promote coordination, strength, agility, speed and endurance. Training is conducted in the form of fun for the youngest, while older participants learn more advanced techniques and have the opportunity to compete in training bouts and amateur competitions.

The programme of activities includes
- Learning how to fall safely, which helps avoid injury and builds confidence
- General development exercises that support motor development
- Motor games with elements of judo, teaching sports rivalry
- Strength and endurance training for older participants to strengthen muscles and condition
- Learning basic judo techniques (throws, holds)
- Training fights, or simplified sparring in a safe and controlled environment
- Development of psychomotor skills such as concentration, courage and quick reactions
Session objectives
- Active time spent promoting a healthy lifestyle
- Improving physical fitness, strengthening the body and confidence
- Preparation for participation in simple training tournaments, giving experience in sporting competition
- Shaping positive attitudes such as discipline, perseverance and respect
- Organisation of summer and winter holiday activities and sports camps
Conditions of participation
- Contact the instructor before the first class to determine the group and discuss organisation
- Activities designed for children aged 4-6 years
- Possession of NW insurance covering judo classes (once you decide to continue classes)
- Current sports examination from a sports medicine doctor confirming the absence of contraindications to physical exercise - general judo classes (after the decision to continue classes)
- Completed documents (parental/guardian consent, personal questionnaire)
- Recommended comfortable attire: sweatpants without zips, short-sleeved T-shirt and flip-flops for the transition from locker room to mat
Children and young people are cordially invited to recreational judo training!
Standards of protection for minors

If you need help with anything, feel threatened, someone is physically or mentally bullying you or you have nowhere else to turn, remember: you can always tell your coach or the person responsible at our club for child safety issues. This person will take the appropriate action immediately.
