Sports judo

Judo for children and young people

Classes designed for children and young people. Trainings are implemented with a view to preparing for sports competitions in various age groups. During the classes, children and young people develop the fitness and coordination skills necessary in judo combat. More difficult elements are taught here (throws, holds, levers, chokes, combinations of techniques, elements of combat tactics). Classes are held by age of participants in two groups - intermediate and advanced.

The programme of activities includes

  • Learning and perfecting safe falls to reduce the risk of injury
  • Gymnastic and acrobatic exercises to improve coordination, general fitness and postural muscle strength
  • Exercises to correct and prevent postural defects
  • Games and plays with competitive elements
  • Development of strength, speed, agility and endurance
  • Formation of perceptiveness and spatial orientation
  • Exercises to develop courage, concentration and overcome self-complexes
  • Learning advanced judo techniques
  • Organisation of sports camps in winter and summer combined with active recreation

Objective

  • Supporting children and young people in active time and physical development
  • Promoting a healthy lifestyle and physical culture
  • Preparation for participation in training tournaments at home and abroad (for those willing)
  • Searching for sporting talent

Conditions of participation

  • Contact the instructor before the first class to determine the group and discuss organisation
  • Activities for children and young people aged 7-18
  • Possession of NW insurance covering judo classes (once you decide to continue classes)
  • Current sports examination from a sports medicine doctor confirming the absence of contraindications to physical exercise - general judo classes (after the decision to continue classes)
  • Completed documents (parental/guardian consent, personal questionnaire)
  • Judo suit - judogi
